Lyrical Magazine

LYRICAL is a quarterly music magazine targeted at creatives of all ages. The brief was to design the cover and typeset the article provided by the client; the article focuses specifically on the authenticity of punk rock and how it still continues to inspire musicians and the like today. I decided to go with red as the primary color for the design as my research revealed red is closely associated with punk culture and it’s rebellious nature. All photos were edited in PhotoShop and I created a custom duotone gradient for the image treatments in the article to complement my chosen color palette.
